__The choir was founded in 1991 by our original Musical Director, the late Tony Madden. Tony worked in Dublin Airport – hence the name. Nowadays, we have choir members from all walks of life and from all areas of Dublin, and further afield. Under Tony’s direction the choir developed an excellent reputation nationally and internationally winning many awards along the way. Sadly, Tony passed away in 2009. His memory and achievements with the choir will forever be remembered by his friends in Dublin Airport Singers.
The choir performs regularly and has a diverse repertoire encompassing sacred, secular, ancient and modern music from many countries and cultures. We have won numerous awards at music festivals in Ireland and have taken part in choral festivals in Vienna, Verona and Krakow.
Our Musical Director, Paul Deegan approaches vocal training a part of our rehearsal process. The ability to read music is not essential as Paul incorporates the rudiments of sight reading into our rehearsals. Having a musically literate choir means we can practice more efficiently, so choir members are encouraged to learn to read.
CONCERTS & COMPETITIONS
We sing at least two concerts every year, including a long-established concert of Seasonal Music in All Hallows College every Christmas. We have sung at Farmleigh, Malahide Castle, the Helix , the National Concert Hall and Phizzfest.

We also travel abroad attending choral festivals in Europe. We peformed in Krakow, Poland in September 2011 and in recent years have also travelled to Vienna and Verona.
